| US patent no. 7,244,844 was granted on Jul 17, 2007 for the degradation products of Rosuvasatin Calcium. This patent claims the products per se and discloses their structure. |

Rosuvastatin is a synthetic statin-type HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor and is approved for the treatment of various forms of Dyslipidemia:

Elevated LDL cholesterol (Hypercholesterolemia)

High total cholesterol (Hyperlipidemia)

Elevated triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia)
The main advantage of Rosuvastatin compared to other Statins lies with its high efficacy in lowering LDL cholesterol. The drug was billed as a super-statin during its clinical development, claimed to offer high potency and improved cholesterol reduction compared to rivals in its class.

| ISO 14001 for TAPI's plant in Israel |
| The TAPI Plantex manufacturing site in Netanya, Israel has received ISO 14001 certification in accordance with the Israel Standards Institute. ISO 14001 defines standards for Environmental Management System and is the first of six criteria that define ISO 14000. |

The standard for environmental management systems requires:
- Ongoing management commitment to improving environmental aspects of the operation in addition to compliance with legislation and regulation of pollution control.
- Establishment and execution of an environmental policy that includes setting and meeting specific measurable goals.
- Incorporate environmental considerations in production processes.
- Perform tests and ensure ongoing tracking of the environmental management system.
The environmental management system enables the organization to:
- Ensure achievement of its environmental goals
- Present its environmental actions to the community and authorities
- Pursue commercial dealings with countries that require proof of compliance with an environmental policy. This trend is already apparent in some European countries and U.S. states.

| Valsartan Patent Issued |
| TAPI has been issued two new US patents. US patent (US 7,199,144) has been granted for a novel process for the reduction of residual solvent content in Valsartan. US patent (US 7,105,557) has been granted for a novel process for the preparation of crystalline Form 1 of Valsartan. |
Valsartan is an orally active nonpeptide and a specific angiotensin II antagonist which acts on the AT1 receptor subtype. Valsartan is the biggest drug in the angiotensin II antagonists (AIIA) group in terms of volume and value. Since 2003, Valsartan took the lead in terms of treatment days. Amongst the second generation of AIIA, Valsartan is the first to receive indication for the treatment of Heart Failure. |
