Safety and environmental considerations are an inherent part of our product lifecycle. From the earliest stages of product research and development, our processes are studied comprehensively and designed to be safe for the employees, for the neighborhood and for the environment. Later, our production systems are engineered with inherent safety in accordance with local regulation and the company’s high level standards. Finally, stringent safety procedures are enforced during the systems’ erection stage, applicable to both company and contractor employees.
During 2006 and 2007, TAPI has made significant EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) activities in most of its 18 plants. These activities are part of the continuous effort of TAPI to comply with EHS regulations and the company high standards. Significant investments were done in many of the sites in order to install upgraded equipment for waste and solvents treatments. The activities included also training of the plants staff on the EHS procedures and SOP. The plants are inspected regularly by local authorities for EHS monitoring and reports on the outcomes are submitted.
