The TAPI Missouri manufacturing site is located just a few miles north of the I-70 Corridor on 120 acres near Mexico, Missouri.
After breaking ground in 1989 and initiating operations in 1991 as Biocraft Laboratories, the site has produced both cephalosporin- and penicillin-based active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). These APIs are used in the dosage manufacture of antibiotic treatments such as cephalexin and cefdinir in the cephalosporin facility, and amoxicillin and dicloxicillin in the penicillin facility.
In order to avoid cross contamination, the site maintains separate facilities for penicillin and cephalosporin products. These facilities include common areas for utilities, quality control and administration, and a strict set of standard operating procedures for maintaining non-contaminated areas.
The site is operated by an experienced staff of associates with an average tenure of 12.5 years at the plant. This loyal and dedicated workforce is proud of its long history of high-volume production capacities, successful FDA audits, and top-rated supply performance. The professional staff delivers solid customer service and satisfaction in a work environment that promotes safety, quality assurance and teamwork at every stage of operation.
